One of the most anticipated matches between India and Pakistan is expected to take place on September 7 in Dubai. If both teams qualify, they might face each other again in the Super Four stage on September 14.

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is close to finalizing a 17-day schedule for the tournament and is likely to announce it officially in early July. The event is expected to be hosted under a hybrid model, just like the 2023 edition. Although India is the official host this time, the tournament is likely to be played in a neutral location, most likely the UAE, due to ongoing political tensions.

In 2023, Pakistan hosted the Asia Cup, but India played all its matches in Sri Lanka because of strained relations. For 2025, a similar approach might be taken. Six teams are confirmed to participate: Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and the UAE.
