Season 2 of The Sandman is now available on Netflix, but the response has been mixed. Critics say that Season 2 struggles with pacing and has a confusing or uneven storyline. Some felt the tone was too serious and the characters hard to connect with. Others mentioned that the season lacks emotional depth and focus at times.

Despite these complaints, the season has been praised for its impressive visuals, creative world-building, and strong acting — especially from Tom Sturridge, who returns as Dream. Even when the story slows down, many agree the visual effects remain one of the show’s biggest strengths.

Netflix has confirmed that this will be the final season of The Sandman and will be released in three parts. The first six episodes began streaming on July 3, while episodes 7 to 11 will arrive on July 24. A bonus episode titled Death: The High Cost of Living will be released on July 31, offering fans a complete end to Dream’s story.
