Dubai Completes First Successful Test Flight of Air Taxi

Dubai has taken a big step toward future transport by successfully testing its first air taxi, built by U.S. company Joby Aviation. The test was carried out in collaboration with Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and is part of the city's goal to launch air taxi services by 2026.

Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed shared the news on X, calling the flight a major achievement. He said it will help reduce travel time, improve living standards, and promote eco-friendly transportation in the city.

The Crown Prince also mentioned that this project fits with Dubai’s vision of becoming a world leader in smart and innovative transport. The air taxi service is expected to ease traffic and provide a faster, greener way to travel within Dubai.
